COVID-19 Update

As you will be aware the last 24 hours has seen announcements by both State and Federal governments with new bans and advice to help curb the spread of the corona virus (COVID-19).

In light of the ban on non-essential travel, the recommendation to cancel holidays and the new stringent social distancing laws we cannot see how we can continue to operate the Savannahlander with compliance of these laws and preserve the safety of both our staff, passengers and remote communities that we visit. We have also been advised by some of our suppliers of accommodation and tours that they are suspending their operations.

Effective immediately the Savannahlander is suspending all services for the month of April and May.

At this stage we will not set a date to resume operations as we aim to fully comply with any social distancing advice for the sake of our staff, our passengers and the communities we visit.

Our office will close as of today but our office staff will continue to work from home to process refunds etc. If your tour is directly affected our office will be in contact to arrange the cancellation and and refunds if applicable.

We are offering a full refund, including your deposit for travel on the affected dates. Alternatively we can re-book your tour with us for a date later in the year. We are also offering that if you wish to keep your deposit with us that we will provide you with the first choice of dates when we open bookings for the 2021 season.

Currently we are not accepting any bookings for 2020 or 2021 but we are keeping a list of those interested to be contacted when operations resume.

It is our intention to remain in business throughout this pandemic crisis and to be a part of the recovery efforts that will commence once the crisis passes. We wish you all the best in this uncertain time and look forward to joining with you in the recovery of this vibrant region.

Please respond to this email if you have any queries – we would appreciate it if you do not telephone the office as our small staff are already quite busy managing the situation as it unfolds.

Thank you for your business, your patience, and we wish you and your friends and family well in the coming weeks.
